BraveWorks depends on the hearts and hands of each volunteer that joins our mission. We serve over one hundred women in the local Charlotte area each year, and countless artisans in our global community. We believe God uses each of your gifts and talents to create empowerment and transformation.

Volunteer & Donation Opportunities Needed Regularly:
English Conversation Coach
Location: 3646 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205
When: Fridays from 10 AM-2 PM (Hours will depend on whether you choose the morning or afternoon group.)
Join us onsite to partner with Artisans who are working towards English language goals. Using the prepared curriculum, volunteers can connect with Artisans on Fridays from 10 AM-2 PM for small group or one-on-one coaching. This is a great opportunity to get to know our incredible Artisans that are refugees or immigrants. Serving in this capacity will require a background check and volunteer agreement.

Professional Mentor
Location: 1717 Cleveland Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203
When: Wednesdays from 12 PM-2 PM
Assist Artisans through one-on-one and small group settings on achieving personal, professional, and spiritual development goals. Bring market expertise and expand knowledge, resources, and social capital to vulnerable women. This volunteer opportunity requires a background check, orientation, and volunteer agreement.

Lunch and Learn Facilitator
Location: 1717 Cleveland Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203
When: Wednesdays from 12 PM-1 PM
Lead workshops to Artisans on various personal, professional, and spiritual topics (i.e. mindfulness, resume building, boundaries, self-care, financial literacy, and interviewing skills). Provide the Artisans with tools, strategies, and resources they need to continue their healing journey from pain to purpose. This volunteer opportunity requires a background check, orientation, and volunteer agreement.

Providing Lunch for our Wednesday Artisans
Location: 1717 Cleveland Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203
When: Any Wednesday at 11:30 AM
We are always looking for groups or individuals who are willing to purchase a catered lunch or make a meal for 15 people. Lunches may be delivered at 11:45 am on Wednesday.

Social Media Volunteer Model
Location: 1717 Cleveland Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203
When: Thursday's from 10 AM-11 AM
We will have our team style you. Each week will be different. Sometimes you will be modeling our jewlery, bags, or skirts. Come to our shop with a neutral top, sneakers, heels, or flats.

Event/Pop-Up Volunteer
Location: 1717 Cleveland Avenue, Charlotte, NC, 28203 or at an off-site location in Charlotte
When: Typically Evenings and Weekends
For events, you will help us set-up tables, products, and merchandise, represent BraveWorks and the vision of the organization by greeting people and sharing about our mission and purpose, and helping check out customers. These events will either be held in our shop or at an off-site location in Charlotte. Many events are held in the evenings and on weekends, and you will always be accompanied by a BraveWorks staff member.

Shop Volunteer
Location: 1717 Cleveland Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203
When: Monday-Friday 10 AM-4 PM
Shop volunteers can help our Retail Manager with her tasks, such as, greeting incoming guests, checking out customers, tagging products, organizing, or cleaning. This could also include odd jobs around the shop that we need extra help with. Volunteers will be thoroughly trained in our checkout system for customers who would like to make a purchase.

Host a BraveWorks Event

Schedule a day or evening event at the BraveWorks Shop nestled in the Dilworth neighborhood of Charlotte. Invite your friends, bible study, professional group, or sports group to hear about the BraveWorks mission while shopping and celebrating women’s empowerment worldwide.
If you’d like to host a marketplace at your home, business or in the shop, please let us know! We’re committed to keeping everyone safe with limited guest numbers while sharing our mission and products in a fun way.
Donating Items

If you want to help support our Artisans and the work we do at BraveWorks by donating items, we would greatly appreciate it! Frequently donated items are gifts cards for the artisans during the holidays, snacks for our artisan program, and a few things on our Amazon wishlist, to assist in providing women with the tools they need for success!
